Size Chart info

Don’t worry if you have to scroll through the terms – below we’ll explain exactly what we’re measuring and how you can compare it to a garment you already own.

Dresses & tops:

  • Chest = the width of the chest, measured flat from under the left armpit to under the right armpit.

  • Waist = the width at the waist (measured at the narrowest point of the item).

  • Hem width = the width at the bottom of the garment, for example at the hem of a T-shirt.

  • Total length = the length from shoulder to bottom (for dresses, tops or onesies).

  • Sideseam = the side seam length, from under your armpit to the hem.

  • Width = the width measured at hip height (only relevant for loose-fitting or straight models).

Shorts & pants:

  • Waistband relaxed = the width of the waistband without stretch.

  • Waistband stretched = the width of the waistband when you stretch it fully.

  • Waistband = sometimes a general term, but usually measured in a relaxed state.

  • Inseam = the inner leg length, from the crotch to the bottom of the leg.

  • Total length = the full length of the shorts or pants, from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the leg.

How do I measure my size?

The easiest way is to lay a garment that fits you well flat on a flat surface (e.g. on a bed or on a table) and take its measurements. That way you will know immediately which size fits you.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Choose an item that is similar in style to what you want to order (e.g. shorts or a T-shirt).

  2. Lay it flat.

  3. Using a tape measure, measure from seam to seam in the appropriate places (see explanation above).

  4. Compare your measurements with the numbers in our size chart.

Our sizes in the size charts are exactly this way, measured flat, just like you measure them at home. So super simple!
